Every pick. Covered.

One team. One pick a week. All season long.

32 teamsregular season + playoffs1 pick a week

Preview: submitting a weekly pick. Choose your team's side of the spread.

One team. All season. Every week you make one call.

32 teams. One of them is yours.

Assigned, not chosen.

32 NFL team logos. The highlighted tile is an example. Your real team is assigned when your league fills.

Not a survivor pool. Not a pick-em. Something better.

Before the season starts, every member is randomly assigned one NFL team. It's yours for the whole regular season. You're not picking from the whole slate. You're living with one team, one matchup, one call: does your team cover the spread, or does their opponent?

Cover handles everything the commissioner used to do by hand. Spreads refresh automatically as lines move. Picks lock before kickoff. Standings update the moment games go final. Tiebreakers calculate themselves. The playoff bracket builds itself.

Weekly pick screen with both sides of the spread, one selected.

How it works

  1. Get your team.

32 members, 32 NFL teams. Once your league fills, the commissioner sets the reveal date and every team is randomly assigned live, with the whole league watching.

Team reveal screen spinning to land on an assigned team.
  2. Make your pick every week.

One pick a week: does your team cover, or does their opponent? Lines move right up until your team's kickoff, then lock. Half-point rounding means every result is a win or a loss.

Pick screen showing both sides of the spread, one selected.
  3. Chase your division title.

You compete against the 3 other members in your division for a chance at the division title. Standings update the moment games go final, and conference standings track the wild-card race.

Division standings screen listing each member's win-loss record.
  4. Playoffs. 14 seeds. One Super Bowl.

After the regular season, 14 members make the playoffs: 4 division winners and 3 wildcards per conference. Seed 1 gets a bye. Each round, rank your preferred game and side. Cover assigns by seed.

Playoff bracket open to the Wild Card round matchups.

Optional: your commissioner can enable confidence picks. Each season, members can designate a set number of their regular-season picks as confidence picks. The confidence win-loss record is tracked separately and used as a tiebreaker at the end of the season.

Built for two kinds of people

Commissioner

You run the pool. Cover runs the math.

Set up once. Spreads post automatically, picks lock at kickoff, standings update the moment games go final, and tiebreakers calculate themselves. You can override any line before kickoff if something looks off. Cover handles everything else. Your job is fielding the complaints.

Picker

Pick in 10 seconds. Know where you stand.

Open Cover Sunday morning, tap your pick, done. No group text, no email thread, no “did mine go through?”. Your pick is confirmed on the spot and standings are live the moment the final whistle blows.

What Cover is not

  • Not a survivor pool.

You don't get eliminated mid-season. Every member picks every week, from Week 1 through the Super Bowl.

  • Not a pick-em pool.

You only pick your team's game, not the whole slate. One pick, every week, same team all season.

  • Not gambling.

Cover never touches member money, never clears prize pools, and takes no cut. Money stays between your group.

Common questions

How is this different from a survivor pool?

In a survivor pool, one wrong pick ends your season. Cover is the opposite: you pick every week, no matter what. One bad week hurts your record. It doesn't knock you out. The competition is your division: four members racing across the entire regular season.

What if I don't like the team I'm assigned?

That's what the pre-season window is for. After teams are assigned and before Week 1 kicks off, any two members who want to swap can ask the commissioner to make the exchange in the app. Once Week 1 kicks off, your team is locked for the season.

Does the commissioner have to randomize teams?

No. Cover's default is a live random reveal where everyone finds out their team at once. Commissioners can hand-pick assignments instead, or reassign a seat later if needed.

What happens if my team has a bye week?

No pick that week. Your record just holds where it is: no win, no loss. Cover displays a "bye week" card in your pick slot so it's never a surprise.

How are spreads sourced?

Cover averages the top NFL point-spread sources and applies a half-point rounding rule, so there's never a push. Every result is a win or a loss. Lines refresh automatically until each game kicks off. If a line looks off, the commissioner can override it before kickoff.

What happens in the playoffs?

14 members make it: 4 division winners and 3 wildcards per conference. You survive Wild Card, Divisional, the Conference Championship, and the Super Bowl. Each round, rank your preferred game and side, and Cover assigns based on your seed.
