Every pick. Covered.
Each member gets one NFL team. You pick your team's game every week. Win your division, make the playoffs, win the Super Bowl. Cover runs the whole operation.
Not a survivor pool. Not a pick-em. Something better.
Cover is a season-long team-assignment pool. Before the season starts, 32 members each draw one NFL team. That team is yours for all 17 regular-season weeks. Every week you make one call: does your team cover the spread, or does their opponent? You're not choosing from the whole slate. You're living and dying with your team. Make the playoffs and the format flips: 12 members survive, and each playoff round you rank which game and side you want from the bracket. Higher seeds pick first.
Cover handles everything the commissioner used to do by hand. Spreads post Friday morning. Picks lock before kickoff. Standings update the moment scores go final. Tiebreakers calculate automatically. The playoff bracket builds itself. The weekly recap email drafts itself. The commish reviews it, hits send, and gets back to watching the game.
How it works
- Step 1
Draft your league.
32 members. 32 NFL teams. Your commissioner triggers the draft before the season starts. A live reveal assigns one team to each member. Prefer manual assignments? The commish can do that too. Either way, the draft ends and you know your team.
- Step 2
Trade before kickoff.
Got the Browns? Not happy about it. The pre-season trade window lets any two members propose a swap. Both confirm, the commissioner approves, done. Window closes at Week 1 kickoff. After that, your team is yours for the season.
- Step 3
Make your pick every week.
Spreads post Friday morning. One pick per week: does your team cover, or does their opponent? You're not touching the rest of the slate. Submit before your team's game starts. Cover locks it, grades it against the final score. Half-point rounding means every result is a win or a loss. No pushes.
- Step 4
Chase your division title.
Your record competes against the 3 other members in your team's NFL division. NFC East against NFC East. AFC West against AFC West. Divisional standings update live as scores come in. Conference standings run alongside for the wild-card race.
- Step 5
Playoffs. 12 seeds. One Super Bowl.
After 17 weeks, 4 division winners and 2 wildcards per conference make it to 12 total seeds. Seeds 1 and 2 get first-round byes. Survive Wild Card, Divisional, Conference Championship, and the Super Bowl. Each round, rank your preferences for game and side. Cover assigns based on your seed.
Optional: your commissioner can enable a confidence layer. One pick per 4-week window earns weighted credit and breaks ties at the end of the season.
Built for two kinds of people
You run the pool. Cover runs the math.
Set up once. Spreads post automatically, picks lock at kickoff, standings update in real time, tiebreakers calculate themselves, and the weekly recap drafts before you wake up Friday. Your job is approving the recap and fielding the complaints. Cover handles everything else.
Pick in 10 seconds. Know where you stand.
Open Cover Sunday morning, tap your pick, done. No group text, no email thread, no “did mine go through?”. Your pick is confirmed on the spot and standings are live the moment the final whistle blows.
What Cover is not
You don't get eliminated mid-season. Every member picks every week, from Week 1 through the Super Bowl.
You only pick your team's game, not the whole slate. One pick, every week, same team all season.
Cover never touches member money, never clears prize pools, and takes no cut. Money stays between your group.

Common questions
- How is this different from a survivor pool?
- In a survivor pool, one wrong pick ends your season. Cover is the opposite: you pick every week, no matter what. One bad week hurts your record. It doesn't knock you out. The competition is your division: four members racing the same 17-week season.
- What if I don't like my team after the draft?
- The pre-season trade window is for exactly that. After the draft and before Week 1 kickoff, any two members can propose a swap. Both sides confirm, the commissioner approves, and the teams exchange. Once Week 1 kicks off, your team is locked for the season.
- What happens if my team has a bye week?
- No pick that week. Your record just holds where it is: no win, no loss. The commissioner decides in advance how bye weeks are handled for standings purposes. Cover displays a "bye week" card in your pick slot so it's never a surprise.
- How are spreads sourced?
- Cover pulls the average of the top 5 sportsbook lines each Friday morning and applies a half-point rounding rule so there are no push outcomes. Every result grades as a win or a loss. If a line looks wrong, the commissioner can override it directly in the app before the deadline.
- Is my data private?
- Your league is invite-only. Nobody outside your league can see your picks or standings. We don't sell data or run ads. Cover is GDPR-compliant. You can export your data or delete your account anytime from your account settings. Full details in the Privacy Policy.
